What technologies will define the future of the food industry?

I recently came across a post that shared a study by the FAO, where they analyzed which technologies will be key for the food sector in the coming years. They categorized the advances into different clusters, such as genetic editing, precision fermentation, food packaging, and agro-waste valorization, among others.
However, one in particular caught my attention: digitalization and data-driven technologies. Personally, I believe this is the foundation that will accelerate all other innovations.
I am convinced that all companies, regardless of size, need to start adopting data-driven solutions now. Many food industry companies feel they can’t move forward because “I don’t have enough data.” But this is a myth: today, there are specialized methodologies for every challenge, whether you have few or many data points.
The food industry can’t afford to wait any longer. The time to digitize and leverage data is now!.
Has your company started implementing these types of technologies yet?
